Group Exhibition
The Language of the Land: Mapmaking and Meaningmaking
July 24-August 28
Our inaugural group show features work by our 2026 Art and Engagement Fellows: Gia Abucejo, Buki Mariam, William Masters, Romilly Rinck, and Andrea Siame. Navigating notions of identity, movement, and landscape, the fellow’s diverse practices explore the ways in which structures of power transmute materials and visual meaning.
Join us on July 23, 5:30 to 7:30pm for the opening reception of the exhibition, and to celebrate the work of our fellows!
More Information about what is in store…
What happens at Art on the Block NYC when we’re between artist residencies? Art on the Block NYC hosts programming for all ages. We’re developing everything from a visual storytelling workshop for families, to a short film series; we would love to hear from you. If you have an idea for an interactive arts program that aligns with Art on the Block’s NYC space and mission, please submit a proposal here. We will contact you if your event proposal is a good match.
If you are interested in hosting an event in our space during one of the residencies, please contact us at hello@artontheblocknyc.org to learn more about that process.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to bringing your ideas to life!
